Designer Kim Sun

Designer Profile

Kim Sun is a Korean-born designer and artist. She graduated from Ewha Girls High School and the College of Law, Ewha Womans University in South Korea. When she lived in Tokyo, Japan, she became a member of the exclusive traditional ikebana society under Master Magoda and obtained a level three professorship. Back in Korea, she studied classic Oriental painting under the late master Gyudang Han Yu-dong. Her passion for art continued when she lived in Los Angeles, U.S. At Otis College of Art and Design, Pasadena Community College and Santa Monica College, she studied water painting, oil painting, ceramics and blown glass art.

As an avid collector of antique and fine art, Kim first started collecting extremely rare antique handbags set with precious gemstones, and as a fine jewelry designer and a great fan of fashion, she thought it would make a perfect sense to“revive” the inspiration and beauty once enjoyed by some of the world’s most fashionable ladies with discerning taste. Combined with her artistic talent fused with modern sensibilities, Kimuse Revivals fine jewelry bags are the one-of-a-kind works of craftsmanship, timeless beauty and style.

She held solo exhibitions and salon shows in Korea and Hong Kong, at the COEX Inter-Continental Hotel, Avenuel Art Gallery, Park Ryu Sook Gallery, the Park Hyatt Seoul – and in Singapore in 2019.
